Black lines like that are usually an indication of the bug with the toner cartridge and/or the roller mechanisms in the printer itself. Bandy the toner cartridge with a brand new one, not a refurbished or refiled one to run into if the problem is nonetheless occurs.
Where I piece of work now the office printers regularly evidence these kinds of problems due to inexpensive refilled toner cartridges.
Interesting link on printer problems, I would avert touching the drum like they evidence, peel oils won't be adept for the drum's part.

Was it a new cartridge or a refurbished unit?
At that place are some interesting issues with the cartridge refurbish marketplace, like not actually doing annihilation to a cartridge besides calculation cheap toner. Some companies really do something like take the cartridge autonomously and rebuild it replacing anything that is worn. Of course they aren't every bit cheap as an "ebay" refurb ;-)

Laser printers work by using loftier heat to fuse powdered ink to paper. There is no bleeding consequence, because laser toner does not absorb into paper. Prints are smudge-proof, demand no drying time, and rarely require specialized paper. However, the sharp, crisp edges from a laser don't permit for the same subtle gradients of colour that an inkjet can produce. Color lasers must lay down colors 1 at a fourth dimension, and toner has a bit of opacity, unlike moisture inkjet inks. Although color lasers aren't the preferred choice for maximum photograph-quality prints, they can produce speedy and well-baked results with solid paradigm quality and perfect text."

Simply googled that printer and it's not a very practiced printer. Seems a lot of people have complaints nearly it.
I must concord. When I am in doubt over somethings, Google is the best source for me.
