Similar it or not, this show is hard to avoid

SpongeBob is a very popular show. Its quirky humour, colorful characters, and crazy plot lines make it irresistible. It's difficult to avoid this show, fifty-fifty if you lot're an adult, or a teen. This prove besides cheers you up very hands. Y'all may similar it, or yous may not believe that you're watching something like this, only either way, it volition somehow go to you.

The story lines are focused around SpongeBob, an energetic sea sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. Each episode focuses around him and his misadventures with other people in his town known as Bikini Bottom. His all-time friend is the dopey starfish Patrick, his other best friend is the land squirrel who lives in a submarine home, Sandy. Other characters in the prove are SpongeBob's drowsy neighbor, Squidward, his boss at work, Mr. Krabs, the evil Plankton, and the driving schoolhouse teacher Mrs. Puff. There are a agglomeration of other characters in the show, merely most episodes are focused effectually them.

These days, Nickelodeon hasn't been doing so well. Most of their new shows are spin offs of former shows, and most of the new shows aren't good at all. SpongeBob is very reminiscent of older Nickelodeon shows. Elements like quirky humor, annoying neighbors, fun plot lines, slightly nighttime sense of humour in a few episodes(non equally much every bit the old Nickelodeon shows), mishaps at work, worst enemies, and mishaps due to SpongeBob's antics all make this testify swell. There are times when this show can become stupid, equally a matter of fact, every episode uses stupidity in a sure way. Some episodes are smartly written, and in odd means, certain episodes accept a message in them.

There is nothing in this show that should make parents feel uncomfortable. In well-nigh episodes, in that location is some type of developed humor that adults and teens will discover to be funny.

Everyone should see this show. Lookout man it with kids, or by yourself, either way, you lot'll probably accept a great time with this evidence.

Was the best blithe show on Nickelodean, just the newer episodes don't piece of work for me

When "Spongebob Squarepants" first started, I was one of those who watched it religiously. I absolutely loved it, and thought information technology was the best animated show on Nickelodean. I loved the fact it was funny, creative and original. Information technology was vibrantly animated, with lavish colouring and convincing character features. The theme tune, what tin I say? Probably the catchiest theme melody out of the shows airing on Nicolodean now. The writing was witty, funny and even intelligent, and the characters were endearing, from Spongebob himself, cynical Squidward, Eugene H. Karbs and the hilarious Patrick. And the phonation acting was well done.

So why did I not give it a higher score? Like "Rugrats" and "The Simpsons" the newer episodes don't work. They aren't as funny or as artistic in terms of written quality as the older episodes, relying likewise much on toilet sense of humour, and the vocalisation interim sometimes is lazy, Patrick in item now seems bored and globe weary now. And Spongebob, the vox is way too loftier. The episode ideas aren't as original or too thought out, in fact they are rather anticipated and unrealistic. The animation and the theme tune are pretty much the but things that make the newer episodes remotely watchable. All in all, I do really like this show, for the sense of fun and inventiveness information technology has, only I just wish the newer episodes weren't as tired. seven/10 Bethany Cox

"Spongebob Squarepants" Television receiver Series- x/10. Very funny with lovable characters.

Spongebob Squarepants" (1999) Television set Serial

It seems that information technology wasn't long ago that this show aired on Nickelodeon, but it's been like 5 years, and Spongebob Squarepants' popularity hasn't decreased at all- of course, I tin encounter why. This show is set in the small town of Bikini Bottom (a town under the sea that is habitation to many sea worthy creatures)- including a spontaneous sponge named Spongebob. He lives with his pet snail, Gary, adjacent to two neighbors- a grumpy clarinet playing octopus- Squidward, and his best friend who is a starfish who couldn't tell his hand from his foot- named Patrick. He also has a friend who lives in an air dome, and she'southward a Texas native squirrel named Sandy, who got bored with life higher up water, so she moved to the ocean. Spongebob works at the Krusty Krab along with Squidward, a popular eating place endemic by the greedy Mr. Krabbs. And at that place is Plankton- a microscopic sea brute who owns his own restaurant- The Chum Saucepan- a very unpopular restaurant, that hasn't gotten a customer since it's opening- and then, of grade, Plankton is always out to steal Mr. Krabbs' hole-and-corner Krabby Patty formula, causing trouble for the krusty krew. Spongebob goes through one predicament later on another, and this show is only hilarious. Some may find Spongebob abrasive, but for those like me, we honey him! 10/10.

Great entertainment for kids and adults, particularly in the early on seasons

My stepdaughter introduced me to this serial, and I take to say not since Rocky and Bullwinkle accept I seen a cartoon that both kids and adults can greatly enjoy and observe humorous on their respective levels. My favorites include "Survival of the Idiots" in which Patrick and Spongebob get trapped in Sandy's treedome during her hibernation. The creator of this show has obviously befriended a Texan or two. Anyone who has owned or been owned by a cat will bask "Dumped" and "Gary Takes a Bathroom", both of which deal with Spongebob and Gary, his pet Snail. "Grandma'due south Kisses" has some of the virtually memorable quotes in which Patrick assures Spongebob that existence a homo consists of doing iii things: Patrick: Allow me to demonstrate. Starting time, puff out your chest.

(SpongeBob puffs out his chest) Patrick: At present say, "revenue enhancement exemption." SpongeBob: Taxation exemption.

Patrick: At present you must develop a gustation for free-grade jazz.

In "Squidville" well-deserved fun is poked at the dull uniformity of planned communities and homeowners associations...Anyone who lives in the DC area knows EXACTLY what I am talking about! Another classic is "Chimera Buddy", in which Spongebob has an imaginary friend who has been causing issues around Bikini Bottom all day. In Squidward'due south case his tragedy is that Bubble Buddy "forced him to provide splendid customer service". Anybody out there who has worked for a living volition recognize Squidward every bit the fellow employee who wants to exercise the required minimum considering he believes he is somehow destined for greater things.

In short, if you desire something that both you lot and the kids tin watch and truly enjoy together, you can't do any ameliorate than SpongeBob, in particular the seasons where creator Steven Hillenburg was involved.

Mindless, carefree fun.

A funny cartoon about the misadventures of talking body of water sponge SpongeBob and his under-the-sea friends, Squidward, Patrick Star, Mr. Krabs, Sandy Cheeks, and dozens of others.

It's mindless fun from SpongeBob's adventures at work in Mr. Krab'south fast-food restaurant to him constantly driving Squidward crazy with his tricks and constant goofiness.

I enjoy the pessimism and sarcasm of Squidward (my blood brother's favorite character) and the money-hungry, dollar-sign eyes of Mr. Krabs. Patrick tin get a little too annoying as the slow and dumb character, while SpongeBob is just the carefree, clueless and lighthearted sponge.

The before seasons were better than the latter seasons (and so far till 2017).

HOLY CRAP!!! SpongeBob SquarePants is funny!!!

I'm xv years old, I have a cousin who is 5 years former, and my mom is over 40. What exercise we all have in mutual? We like SpongeBob! A show that is for all ages. SpongeBob is a silly drawing that reaches young, old, and in betwixt. Younger kids volition enjoy the silly antics and slapstick. While teens and adults volition relish a lot of adult and more than witty humor that passes over little kids heads.

The show takes place underwater. The main character, SpongeBob, is a talking sponge, who works as a fry melt for Mr. Krabs, the greedy owner of the Krusty Krab. He also works with his depressing and more sophisticated side by side door neighbor, Squidword Tentacles, who is constantly annoyed by SpongeBob's crazy, stupid antics. SpongeBob's other neighbor and long-life best friend, Patrick Star, is a talking pinkish starfish that possibly the well-nigh stupid character e'er. There is also Plankton, a tiny but evil grapheme that is jealous of Mr. Krab's eating house and always is trying to steal his formula for the sacred Krabby Patty, merely he e'er ends up failing miserably. Then in that location is Sandy Cheeks, a squirrel that for some reason lives underwater in a space-suit. Sandy befriends SpongeBob and Patrick and loves to exercise heady things with them. are these non the most ridiculous characters.

You might be thinking, this sounds stupid. Well it is stupid, thats the beauty of the show. The premise is and so ridiculous that anything can happen. None of the episodes e'er continue the story and plot of the previous episode. Its a cartoon. Every new episode starts a new story. And the story lines of the episodes are only sometimes ridiculous, simply the characters in the show are then good that everything works. Squidword is a great straight-human for the comedy. He seems to detest his life because SpongeBob and Patrick are constantly ruining things for him. Not on purpose, SpongeBob and Patrick are simply stupid. Peculiarly Patrick who is my favorite character. The show at times seems to make a point on how stupid he really is. Sometimes Patrick seems mentally retarded. But he is good at heart along with SpongeBob. Mr. Krabs on the other hand is simply obviously greedy. His character amuses me because he is so cheap that its ridiculous. He'll practice annihilation to save a dollar or make an actress penny. And Plankton is the worst i of them all. Plankton comes up with these Genius plans to steal the Krabby Patty formula but he has one problem, he is an eighth of the size of everyone else. all of these characters make for great one-act.

There is stupid comedy in SpongeBob, only there is also a lot of jokes and situations that only adults tin understand. There is dark humor and even some witty jokes. Sometimes you will fifty-fifty see some references to pop-civilisation events. Kids will enjoy the silly stuff when adults and teens volition savour some of the other jokes.

This drawing is unique considering its a kids cartoon but all the principal characters are total-grown adults. Yes at that place bounding main creatures only they are grown-ups. But SpongeBob and Patrick act similar lilliputian kids. Thats what I find charming about the testify.

Lookout SpongeBob Squarepants! Any age tin find humour in the show.

Die Laughing

I'm a inferior in college, and I can't aid simply flipping to Spongebob every saturday morning at piece of work. This drawing series is a work of fine art! It'due south a hilarious journeying into the world of Spongebob Squarepants and his friends, a mentally challenged starfish named Patrick, a miserly seventy'south turn down squid, Squidward, and Sandy, some sort of tripped up Squirrel who lives underwater via an air-adapt.

The humor is hilarious, and as a college student, I can't cease laughing!

The Best Cartoon Always!

Spongebob Squarepants is a sea-sponge. He is shaped in a rectangle, and is in the form of a mutual household sponge. He lives in a pineapple nether the sea, in the town of Bikini Bottom.

He is often found to exist annoying his cynical neighbor Squidward, the grouchy Clarinet playing squid next door, who definitely thinks the sea is half empty.

Next to Squidward is a large rock, where dwells a starfish with near as much intelligence every bit his home-sweet home. He is Patrick Star, neighbour to Squidward, merely lifelong friend to Spongebob.

Over yonder lives a 'state squirrel' by the name of Sandy Cheeks. Her hobbies include the search for the 'Hay in the Needlestack', to biking in the Industrial Park.

Finally at that place'due south Mr. Eugene H. Krabs, penny hugging/pinching proprietor of the Krusty Krab; Spongbob's beloved workplace, and the home of the Krabby Patty.

On the subject of the Krabby Patty, that brings us to the esteemed Sheldon Plankton, arch-rival to Mr. Krabs, and generally very evil. His constant attempts to steal the Krabby Patty make for very funny episodes.

In Summery, this show tin be summed up with a unmarried discussion: Brilliant. It is witty, smart, extremely funny, with timeless characters, appealing to all ages.

10/x A Classic!

nearly 20 years later on this evidence made Nickelodeon what it is today.

As a teenager maturing toward adulthood, my younger peers grew up watching this weird cartoon on a kids network called Nickelodeon called Spongebob Squarepants. Within years it became the near popular evidence on Nickelodeon ever, spawning two movies, video games, and an appearance in the upcoming Super Bowl LIII halftime bear witness inspired past a clip from the archetype episode Ring Geeks that spawned a petition by fans for Viacom to include the character and the song "Sweet Victory", into the show, which is really happening as of now. The animation is quirky, the sense of humour classy, and the music very kitschy simliar to Ren and Stimpy. Sadly, the creator of the show died years later on he left the show; ratings have been in the toilet ever since but might rebound due to the halftime testify.

A great show from my childhood until seasons 4, 5, half dozen, 7, 8, 9 destroyed it!

Overall, I liked this testify and loved it as a immature child back at the 90s when it was starting time released on nickelodeon. The first three seasons were amazing with some creative plot lines for each episode (not to mention the funny and witty humor/jokes) and also revolves around every situation my favorite characters are going through and are handled quite well throughout the evidence. The blitheness is pretty with fluid backgrounds and brilliant graphic symbol designs. The characters are likable and timeless as ever. Spongebob and Patrick are dumb, but smart and Squidward is mean, but also likable, Mr. Krabs is funny and Plankton is evil and also funny. Fifty-fifty the new characters in the first iii seasons are bang-up and executed the show perfectly with some talented voice actors like Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown and others.

So, in 2006, two years after the release of it's outset feature length film, "The Spongebob Squarepants Moving picture", the bear witness started to go downhill with seasons iv, v, 6, 7, viii, and 9 with the story lines being the same and the bulk of those seasons now becomes repetitive. The characters accept ranged from likable to very irritating and the pacing is too damn awful! The new episodes started to brand me blench as I wished the show would've just ended with season 3, simply nope. Instead, the writers decided to give up and started to proceed the franchise as it becomes to get quite boring and predictable which resulted in destroying a great reminder of my childhood!

If yous sentinel the beginning iii seasons that reminded you of your childhood instead of the afterwards ones, then you are welcome to for this is one of the greatest shows in television history.

Ahh yes, the good bear witness...

I call back when I first saw the show, the episode: Bubblestand. I loved that episode and decided to wait for more episodes. That was when I noticed that five million more than episodes came on. Watched every unmarried 1 of 'em. Tom Kenny does a REALLY superior practiced chore on the voice on Spongebob. I loved it every bit a little kid, and I notwithstanding like it today.

I love this show then much I could hug it. Too bad they haven't made recent and decent episodes these days. The newest one sucked. Anyways, this testify is a really cool one because there is no signal to information technology and in that location is mindless comedy! D:. I recommend almost of you to sentinel it, for it is the best.

A really off-white show indeed.

Someone needs to take a stand and end the testify before information technology is degraded fifty-fifty more.

Once upon a fourth dimension, Spongebob Squarepants was the largest jewel in Nickelodeon'south crown. Information technology was charming, clever, and genuinely hilarious. It was a huge part of my childhood. My friends and I recite lines from the former episodes all the fourth dimension, and we still laugh at them! Then, the moving-picture show came. Oh, don't get me wrong; the moving-picture show was pure gold! Just since then, the slap-up Stephen Hillenburg left the show and immune it to rot away.

Nowadays, our favorite undersea sponge has been cut downwards, degraded, and utterly destroyed. That obnoxious, overly-emotional yellow square in the newer episodes? That is not Spongebob. It can't be. I really feel that kids should not be immune to watch him anymore. It is a widely-known fact that kids imitate what they encounter; and believe me when I say that you DON'T want them imitating "Spongebob." He is far too emotionally disturbed. One minute he is unbearably and obnoxiously ecstatic for no reason, and the next he is screaming and crying similar a particularly difficult infant. And he doesn't weep for a few seconds in a funny way, he cries for minutes on end like an unfortunate soul burning in hell; meaning that it is mentally painful to watch. Yeah, no one should permit their kid mimic this kind of behavior. On height of all that, his voice has become incredibly high pitched and nerve-grating. Maybe Tom Kenny's overused the voice and now he's losing information technology. Whatever the reason is, it doesn't change the fact that it is incredibly abrasive.

And speaking of annoying, the show itself has only lost information technology'south touch with the humor. The former episodes were incredibly witty, and appealing to all ages. I still laugh at the jokes to this day. But so, one mean solar day I decided to sentinel a newer episode of Spongebob. I was horrified at what I saw; there was no actual humour, but attempts at humor that fell extremely flat. None of the jokes were funny! I plant myself sitting there, trying to FORCE myself to express joy. But nothing at all was even a tiny fleck amusing. The exact jokes were incredibly lazy and dry, and many times felt forced. The concrete humor was not any better. The writers for the bear witness were running out of ideas--I could tell.

I likewise have a few things to say almost the animation. I don't know what happened, but I think the older episodes looked a lot ameliorate, and more rugged like other cartoons such every bit The Angry Beavers (great show, by the manner). The newer episodes' animation features brighter colors, rounder, thicker characters, and obnoxious details that actually should have been left out. Spongebob's confront, for example, conveys far too much happiness and ecstasy, to the point were it gets a tad frightening. In fact, all the characters express far also intense emotions at times that are either very annoying, or borderline scary. In summation, if the expect of a prove is important to you, maybe y'all should stay away from the newer episodes of this far likewise long-running Telly serial.

Someone needs to take a stand against Nickelodeon, for subjecting us to watch this garbage that used to be aureate. If this show had stopped afterward the movie was released, every individual who grew up with Spongebob would have been a lot happier. Delight, only watch the old episodes. The new ones are so awful, it really fills me with pain to think about them. Also, proceed your kids away from the prove. Spongebob has become a terrible emotional influence. Unless you desire your kids to become horrible bipolar monsters, STAY Abroad FROM THE NEW EPISODES. Merely allow them watch seasons one through three. Nickelodeon needs to end the reformed Spongebob's reign of terror.

The best cartoon ever?

I've only just started getting into cartoons again after not watching them for then long. I heard about Spongebob Squarepants and decided to check it out. Now I lookout man every episode religiously! It's astonishing! I don't think I always seen annihilation as surreal or as funny in a kids testify as this! The show takes place in Bikini Lesser, an underwater town. Spongebob Squarepants (voiced by the amazingly talented Ton Kenny) is a sponge that works as a fry cook at the Crusty Krab, run by 1 Mr Krabs (voiced by Tom Clancy who many people volition retrieve from Shawshank Redemption). Spongebob is a kid at heart and a little stupid, only gets up to the most astonishing adventures. Alongside Spongebob are his best friend Patrick Starfish (Nib Fagerbakke) who is even more stupid than Spongebob, Sandy Cheeks (Carolyn Lawrence) a squirrel that lives underwater for some reason, Squidward Tentacles (Rodger Bumpass) Spongebobs moody next door neighbor, Mrs Puff (Mary Jo Catlett) Spongebob'due south driving instructor and Plankton (Mr Lawrence) a very tiny body of water fauna with a Napoleon Complex.

What makes the show and then funny is the situations that Spongebob and his friend Patrick get themselves into. They are both very stupid and kid similar, meaning that they get into problem on a regular ground, which makes for heady episodes. At that place are some huge laugh out loud moments and some of them stuff that they get upward to volition make your tum churn with laughter. All the characters are amazingly put together and they all piece of work. Each take their own personality which allows them to carry on the story and let Spongebob interact with them all.

One of the funniest stories is the send up of Batman and Robin where Spongebob and Patrick endeavor to bring out of retirement their two favourite heroes. Mermaid Human being (Ernist Borgnine) and Barnacle Boy (Tim Conway). Anyone who'southward ever watched the classic Adam West Batman will capeesh the humour of this episode! All in all, a very funny cartoon. Information technology'south insane enough for kids to enjoy, but also so funny that many adults will enjoy information technology (as long equally they get the sense of humor). Take it for what it is. Don't' attempt and analyse it. Just lookout and enjoy.

Oh and one more thing. In one episode, the background music is provide by metals most greatest heroes, PANTERA!!!!!!!!

Appeals to Young and Erstwhile!

Warning: Spoilers

The prove may be the longest running in the history of the Nick Network. But information technology appeals to both young and old. As cartoons rarely appeal to both these days.

SpongeBob Squarepants is a happy become lucky creature. Who lives nether the sea at Bikini Bottom and lives in a pineapple for a house with his slow witted friend, Gary.

He runs into all sorts of mischief whether playing around with his friends, TX karate loving squirrel transplant Sandy who has to wear a spacesuit consummate with helmet as she is not used to the water, dim witted but proficient natured Star, Patrick Starr.

While bothering his flute playing octopus neighbour Squidwald and working with coin loving just good natured, Mr. Venereal at the Crusty Crab eating house.

Nonetheless after over ten years, and counting the cartoon, never has gotten onetime! It just keeps getting better.

I love Spongebob

I first discovered Spongebob square pants while I was on holiday in Florida. It dawned on me when I got dorsum to England that we could become it on Nickelodean so I started watching it all the time and loved information technology! It's basically a kids show although sometimes it does take some jokes that are obviously intended to become manner over children's heads. And I love it for that. Loads of my friends dear the show and we're all surprised that we could be so entertained by a small yellow sponge who lives in a pineapple! Oddly plenty though, my favourite grapheme is not Spongebob. I love Squidward and Plankton and their biting bored outlook to life. They seem remarkably cynical for Nickelodean which is why this show is a breath of fresh air and hugely popular.

Had it ups and downs, but I focus on the positive

I acknowledge that years ago, I wasn't likewise eager to exist a fan of "SpongeBob Squarepants". It was at the time I saw an episode called "Survival Of The Idiots" that I got hooked on the bear witness. In its kickoff three seasons, SpongeBob was one of the greatest cartoons of all time. We become a lot of nice characters with interesting personalities and tons of great gags and jokes to continue with information technology. The series was originally going to finish after three seasons and afterwards that, creator Stephen Hillenberg left. For the longest time, there weren't any episodes people considered their favorites fabricated in the show for years.

I stopped watching the bear witness after the fourth flavor and pretty much stopped watching Nickelodeon afterward that. With Cartoon Network being obsessed with "Teen Titans Go!", I came back to this network if only to scout new great cartoons like "The Loud House". I kept hearing horror stories about new SpongeBob episodes where the characters became niggling more shells of their former selves, doomed to have the same single personality trait for the rest of the run. I did lookout man the new SpongeBob movie and am very glad to notice out Hillenberg went back to the testify.

I've seen newer episodes and they actually are a big improvement from when he wasn't there. Hillenberg didn't want the prove to continue forever so they continued it without him. I really don't know his exact thoughts on the series now but he has come back and episodes are getting good. I'thou glad to say I'm back to watching SpongeBob afterward many years. Looking hither on the IMDb, it saddened me to see new reviews where anybody says the evidence has declined, merely it has gotten good again.

What can I really say? This evidence has had some of the best lines and scenarios in any animated bear witness e'er. It's weird looking back and seeing every bit how newer cartoons like "Gravity Falls" and "My Footling Pony: Friendship Is Magic" have revolutionized entertainment as nosotros know it. This was still a not bad show for its day and has really gotten better. We don't want to run into our favorite characters become caricatures and they take in fact grown out of them. I'one thousand glad to say we're back on runway not just for the show, but Nickelodeon in general. ****

Masterful, perhaps mis-targeted, surreal stream-of-consciousnessparody

"SpongeBob SquarePants" is an hilarious and ofttimes unpredictable cartoon series aired at this writing on Nickelodeon. Its regular times are Sabbatum & Sunday mornings, with occasional marathons and a semi-regular feature on Nick's Friday evening U-Vote feature. The massive amount of hype surrounding its release in mid-1999 suggests that the Nickelodeon staff really likes the prove.

The series is conspicuously for adults, in the same sense equally "The Simpsons" and "Beavis and Butthead" are. The marketing, still, is quite child-oriented, and somehow, the serial has become associated with other Nickelodeon features which really offer redeeming social value for children, viz "Wild Thornberrys" and "Blue's Clues". I don't heed, personally--I bask watching SpongeBob with my toddler-historic period children, although I do notice myself answering lots of interesting questions ("Why is Squidward dancing similar that? It's scary.", "You tin't put simulated arms on similar that, tin y'all, Daddy?", "Why is Patrick so dumb?")

The evidence features the vocalization talents of Tom Kenny (a perennial supporting voice in cartoons) as SpongeBob, Rodger Bumpass (some other voice talent veteran) as Squidward the, well, squid, Bill Fagerbakke ("Coach"southward Dauber) every bit Patrick the Starfish, Carolyn Lawrence every bit Sandy Cheeks (SpongeBob's love interest, a squirrel with an air helmet), and Clancy Brown ("Buckaroo Banzai"south Rawhide) as SpongeBob's employer, the tight-clawed Mister Krabs. I have noticed in many features that "Mr. Lawrence" is credited as a author; I suspect a husband-wife team, given that Sandy Cheeks gets some not bad dialogue--but that's pure conjecture, and I heartily welcome correction or corroboration alike. In that location accept been several celebrity appearances, most notably Ernest Borgnine and Tim Conway as the voices of fictional superheroes Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.

I like the damn show. I was hooked on it for at least a year, from the Clutch-Cargo-flavored introduction to the United Plankton logo at the stop of each episode. The plot lines' continuity is above average, with a well-adult cast of supporting characters who populate Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob's home. In that location are the obvious suspension-of-disbelief requirements, such as the watery surround's inexplicable tolerance for electricity and exhaled air, but this is easily counterbalanced past the whimsical misusage of jargon (SpongeBob, in a desperate moment says, "I'll use the Vanquish Phone!").

Classic episodes include "Bubbles", "Moon Rocket", and "Dwelling Sweet Pineapple".

Gone from gold to crap

Spongebob Squarepants used to exist Nikelodeaen'southward signature series. All the characters were good and the plot lines had significant, and the show had talent. Nickelodean said in 1999 (when the show was created) that they would exercise three seasons and and then do the pic. and that was it. until later on the movie in 2004 the show boomed with popularity. so nickelodeon renewed the testify for a forth season. After the movie, series creator and artistic writer Stepen Hillenburg basically left the evidence and Paul Tibbit basically took over everything. This is when the prove started going downward hill. And then more rookie writers were hired and gave the plot lines dry, stupid humor. Everything that the kickoff iii seasons and the motion picture had prepare in stone was then defied and questioned in the past 3 seasons. all the characters have merely became stupid. Spongebob has get loftier-pitched and abrasive. Patrick is just oblivious to annihilation, now. Sandy is too smart and is overused. Mr. Krabs has get Too inexpensive and his cheapness has been reused in as well many episodes. Squidward has become too sarcastic and obsessed with himself. TOO many plot lines involving Plankton trying to steal the Krabby Patty formula. Spongebob has merely become a whiny baby. If people thought he was gay when he came out, they should look at him now! Information technology isn't funny any more than. All of the plot lines are extremely anticipated.(Plankton tries to steal the Krabby Patty formula, Mr. Krabs pinches a penny, Spongebob cries.) Nickelodeon is only haemorrhage this testify dry, such equally what FOX is doing with the Simpson'due south. They know people will go along watching it and they volition go on on bringing in the MONEY. They volition sponge off of this show for every bit long as they tin.(pun intended) The show used to exist for adults and kids alike, now it should be put on Nick Jr with Dora and Deiago. I would have given this evidence a ten star rating for seasons 1-iii and the flick. Now a one. I 100% recommend seasons 1-3 and the movie(especially flavour 1) Spongebob used to be the Coupe De Ville of Nickelodean, know it's just like the rest of the shows nick is limping out to the barn with.(Mighty B, Penguins of Madagascar, Back at the Baryard.)

In that location Will Never Be A Show Like This

These days, SpongeBob is in a bit of a complicated state. All of the episodes being made take place before the first picture and nigh of those episodes are really weird. Not necessarily in a bad fashion only... in a weird way. But despite that, I tin't assist but love this bear witness. I loved it as a kid and I still do today. It's simply very special to me and I recall many people feel the same style. It merely hits you in the right places when you sentry it and I tin just hope futurity generations feel the same way.

Once a brilliant masterpiece, at present a complete disgrace

Alarm: Spoilers

When Spongebob Squarepants kickoff came out, it took the world by storm. It quickly became Nickelodeon's all-time testify and, to my cognition, the longest running show on the network. It had fantastic writing, fantabulous characters, and it was brimming with creativity. Whether you like this show or non, it made a huge touch on the world. Sadly, much like all good shows that go on for too long, everything eventually gets watered downwardly and this show is no exception.

Subsequently The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Steve Hillenburg, the creator of the evidence, left the show. Nickelodeon got greedy and brought the bear witness back without Hillenburg to work on information technology. Information technology would prove to be a very costly mistake for the evidence.

The first sign that this show lost all inventiveness is that the plots for each episode are no longer unique or interesting. Every one of them not merely have bad premises, simply they are really bad similar the much reviled "The Splinter" episode. Not to mention that the writers decide to rip off past episodes, do a tiny bit of rearranging, and phone call it a "new" episode. One good example is the episode where Plankton steals Sandy's fur accommodate and goes to steal the Krabby Patty formula. That was done in "Imitation Krabs" and information technology was a far superior episode. Some other was in Krabby Dogs, where Mr. Krabs made Spongebob make null but Krabby Dogs, which is well-nigh a expressionless ringer of the episode, "Bossy Boots".

The characters are another thing that have been altered radically. Long gone are the characters who used to have personality and be likable. Every grapheme on this show has been inverse so much, you would think they were replaced by Body Snatchers.

Spongebob is no longer the innocent, sometimes oblivious, and caring person. He has instead been reduced to a complete airhead with no IQ, he acts like a crybaby, and his deportment go deep into stalker territory. In 1 episode, "Squid's Visit", he redecorates his house to be similar Squidward's firm and he gets every detail and I mean every detail. This isn't the aforementioned happy get lucky sponge, this is a psychotic stalker who needs to be sent to an asylum.

Patrick was once the funny, dumb friend of Spongebob, only he did accept some smart moments. In the new episodes, Patrick is really stupid now, he acts completely obnoxious, oblivious, smug, and always makes things worse.

Squidward is still the same, simply he's always getting abused now by the writers. Something bad e'er happens to him and he gets tormented incessantly by Spongebob and Patrick when he doesn't want anything to do with them. Squidward is the only character now I experience sorry for.

Sandy has stopped being a karate champion and Texan girl. She's cypher merely a scientist at present and barely acts like her erstwhile self. I liked it ameliorate when she wasn't but a scientist, but a tough girl with personality.

Mr. Krabs, by far, is the worst character on this show now. He was all about money, just even so still had a good middle and knew when coin wasn't always everything. Now he cares about nothing but coin and I hateful nothing. He is extremely cheap and greedy. He even went insane over a penny he thought Spongebob found. In a recent episode, he fired Spongebob over a nickel. Which makes no sense since he'south the reason Mr. Krabs is making and then much money. The writers must think that seeing Mr. Krabs act inexpensive and go insane over money if funny.

Speaking of funny, the humor is nothing like what information technology in one case was. Instead of clever jokes or annihilation that's witty, it's been dumbed down and has relied on 2 things at present. I, the writers love to do gross or crude sense of humour. They think information technology's funny to meet a splinter cause Spongebob's thumb to swell up and puke out puss, or, fifty-fifty worse, see Squidward's tentacle be severely damaged when Spongebob drops a couch leg on him and drags it, causing some flesh to exist shown. Two, the show loves to rely on character abuse. The all-time case goes to Squidward here. It seems the writers just love to torture or humiliate other characters by Spongebob and Patrick'due south antics. At that place's zip funny about seeing all this gross humor and seeing these characters always existence driveling or their lives ruined past Spongebob and Patrick.

This brings me to some other signal, Spongebob and Patrick now never get reprimanded for their actions. In past episodes like "Hooks" and "Pranks a Lot", they were both punished for their actions. Now anybody is taking the full brunt of Spongebob and Patrick'due south actions like Mermaid Homo and Barnacle Boy taking the fall for when the former pretended to be like them and caused nothing only trouble. Squidward oftentimes has his dreams ruined past Spongebob and Patrick like the choir episode or when he wanted to be solitary on Dominicus.

In terms of artwork and animation, I can't really complain well-nigh it since it's still actually good and has improved over the years. If only they put this much quality into the writing and jokes like in the artwork and animation.

Spongebob Squarepants is the prime number example of also much of a good thing. The testify has been on the decline and it'southward showing no signs of improving anytime soon. There may exist a funny joke hither and there, but this series has run its grade and it's just getting worse. With episodes being obvious ripoffs of past episodes, characters that are no longer likable, and sense of humour that even a two year old would notice bad, this evidence has long since passed its prime number. All I can hope for is that the 2d Spongebob movie is the real serial finale. If yous want to enjoy Spongebob, get chase downwards episodes of the get-go 3 seasons and forget every other season.

A Good Bear witness, Merely it Has Seen Better Days

Warning: Spoilers

I was introduced to Spongebob past a friend of my sister'due south. She turned information technology on considering she frequently watched it and idea my sis and I might enjoy it.

After the kickoff episode, I was extremely impressed, and the viewing merely got better the more than we watched it. I especially appreciated the children'south humour, slightly on the simple or retarded side, juxtaposed with a few nods to more than adult themes. Nada was ever outright said, only moments I thoroughly enjoyed were when Spongebob and Patrick become the unwitting parents to a babe mollusk, and hilarity ensues, of course; too equally a moment when Mr. Krabs tells Spongebob he looks like a girl in a lid that is worth a lot of money that Mr. Krabs sold him for cheap, and Spongebob asks is he is a 'pretty girl?'

Other themes I accept enjoyed were brief moments where the vocabulary seems to become much more sophisticated, such as Patrick's comment 'The inner machinations of my listen are an enigma..' Also, moments where they actually comment on the fact that they are living underwater, such as when they are setting up a campfire, and Patrick asks 'Hey, if we're underwater, how can there exist a... (fire)' but the fire goes out before he tin finish the question. There was another moment when Spongebob receives an invitation for Patchy'south House Political party, merely when he reveals the invitation, information technology is ruined, and he says 'Conspicuously whoever sent this invitation doesn't understand the concrete limitations of undersea life.'

Many things nigh this prove are very sophisticated and interesting. There are other elements that are apparently made for children as well. Later episodes accept not been up to par with the older episodes, simply that seems to go for most shows that continue on after being successful.

I will never terminate watching Spongebob episodes if I accept a television set and information technology has Nickelodeon on it. I always find myself looking for that first when I plough on a TV, the few times I really have access to one. I am 25 years old, and I am shamelessly entertained by this show.

This is too harmless entertainment for children. Any sane child will understand the difference between drawn characters and real live people.
